Welcome To One Dollar Donations

I'm Lisa. Some of you may know me as Drugstore Diva Lisa [[from my other blog, Drugstore Divas. Some of you may know me as that girl you see in the store who is always getting free stuff. And some of you are going to get to know me through this blog.

So, speaking of this blog -- One Dollar Donations -- you probably wanna know what it's about, huh?

Well, it came to me in a dream. Okay, not a dream, but that half-awake state right before you fall asleep.

See, I donate a dollar a week to church [[don't worry, this is not going to be a religious blog]]. Some people can afford to donate more, and that's incredible. Some people [[like me]] are saving for a house, and know what it's like to be unemployed. I feel good about my dollar a week. I do.

But, I coupon. Hardcore. I'm one of those people you see on TV. So I realized, I can probably make that dollar go further than whoever gets the collection baskets at my church. So that's where this quest came in. Instead of donating one dollar, I'll be donating what I can get for a dollar.

That's where the blog comes in. I'm curious myself to see how much my dollar can actually buy. And I'm sure you are too. A few paragraphs ago, a dollar didn't seem like much. But after a few blog posts, I hope it seems like a dollar can go a long way.

Maybe it'll prove to me what the value of a dollar is. Maybe it'll prove to you that in these hard economic times, you can afford to donate a dollar [[or live on a dollar]].

Welcome to One Dollar Donations.
